Overview

St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Schools invites applications for a temporary part-time Grade 7 teaching position at Sacred Heart School in Wetaskiwin, Alberta. This position focuses on Grade 7 Language Arts and Math. Experience with or knowledge of Daily 5 and/or guided reading, literacy/numeracy interventions, and a willingness to support extracurricular programming are assets. This position will begin August 27, 2026 and end June 25, 2027.

Responsibilities

  • Teach Grade 7 Language Arts and Mathematics as a part-time role.
  • Utilize Daily 5 and guided reading strategies; implement literacy and numeracy interventions as appropriate.
  • Support co-curricular and extra-curricular programs.

Qualifications

  • Experience with or knowledge of Daily 5 and/or guided reading, literacy/numeracy interventions.
