Hays are working in partnership with a well-established secondary school in the Blackburn area to recruit a Temporary IT Support Assistant. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience within a busy school IT environment, supporting the delivery of technology services ahead of the new academic year.The school is investing heavily in its IT infrastructure and requires additional support over the summer period to prepare classrooms, learning spaces, and student devices for September.

Your new role

As a Temporary IT Support Assistant, you will work closely with the IT Manager and Network Manager to help prepare the academy for the start of the new academic year.Your duties will include:

Assisting with the setup, deployment, and installation of over 250 desktop PCs across classrooms and other areas of the school.

Moving, unpacking, and connecting IT equipment.
