Job Description
The Failure Analysis Technician supports the Failure Analysis Engineering function by monitoring field quality data for accuracy and consistency, understanding historical failure modes, and identifying new field issues. Failure Analysis Technicians track and archive Failure Analysis reporting to build a knowledge database of issues and resolutions.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensures integrity of failure data including conditions, symptoms, and failure modes. Reviews RMA data for consistent, complete failure coding. Identifies trends in failures and provides quantitative analysis of such trends. Identifies and documents the most probable Root Cause(s) of failures. Drives Corrective Action for simple failures. Prepares complete, concise Failure Analysis reports for internal and external customer communications.
