Technician I

I. BASIC FUNCTION

The job holder contributes to the growth and profitability of Cabletech by providing technical services to the clients and subscribers by being responsible for the following Key Result Areas (KRAs):

§ Cable Modem Installation, Operation and Maintenance

§ Installation of Clients' PCs and Other Internet facilities & CPEs

§ Repair and Restoration of Connection

§ Safety Standard Compliance

II. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Field Service

1.1 Data-enabled outside plant network

1.1.1 Install, maintain and monitor cable modems and other internet work.

1.1.2 Configure client's PC and other internet Customer Premises Equipments (CPEs)

1.1.3 Check and replace defective Service Cable Ad Box.

1.1.4 Configure computer for internet set up and connection.

1.2 Services

1.2.1 Perform trouble shooting/repair works on data-enabled outside plant network.
