Technician, Contested Matters

Responsibilities

As a Contested Matters Technician, you serve as a technical expert and provide discipline‑specific support for your unit’s activities, assignments and processes. You conduct specialized technical research and analysis related to processes, information management and data processing. You draw on your sound decision‑making skills to solve technically complex problems and recommend and help develop ways to improve or adjust methods and procedures to make them as effective and efficient as possible.

• Analyze access to information requests, contact clients, review files and send them to the requester.
• Analyze subrogation requests, contact clients or their representatives and ensure collections.
• Ensure that the laws in effect are applied when processing access to information and subrogation requests.
• Complete preparatory work for legal proceedings.
• Take charge of subpoenas.
