We are seeking a highly detail-oriented Automotive Technician to support heavy-duty vehicles at the test track in Madras, OR. This role works closely with engineers to prepare vehicles, components, and systems for instrumentation.

This position is hands-on, technical, and ideal for a technician with mechanical experience who also has exposure to software, wiring, and instrumentation tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare vehicles and components for strain gauge instrumentation.
  • Install, route, and secure cables and wiring required for strain testing.
  • Remove axles and perform other mechanical disassembly/reassembly as needed.
  • Support engineers in equipment setup, instrumentation prep, and test readiness.
  • Assist in replacing components and ensuring all parts are properly staged for instrumentation teams.
