Job Description
**VCA Capital Area Veterinary Emergency and Specialty** Animal Hospital is seeking a Technician Assistant to support our Emergency & Critical Care (ECC) team. This role is ideal for someone who is dependable, compassionate, and eager to learn in a fast‑paced emergency environment.
**What You’ll Do**
+ Assist technicians and doctors with patient restraint, treatments, procedures, and hospitalized patient care
+ Walk stable patients and report changes to the medical team
+ Clean and disinfect cages, treatment areas, and procedure spaces
+ Stock supplies, maintain laundry flow, and support overall department organization
+ Assist with radiographs, lab testing, surgical prep, and clean‑up once trained
+ Follow hospital safety, sanitation, and infection control protocols
**What We’re Looking For**
+ High school diploma or equivalent; must be at least 18 years old
+ Strong communication skills and a professional, team‑focused attitude
