Technical Officer – Permanent – Homebased (UK) with option to work from the Cardiff office. Competitive salary and benefits.

Responsibilities & Duties

The Technical Officer will provide day‑to‑day support to the Marine technical department, ensuring the efficient and high‑quality delivery of technical inspection reports to the customer base. Key duties include interpreting, correcting and adjusting all technical reports and supporting data to maintain quality standards. The role offers potential progression toward more hands‑on technical duties within a surveying discipline as the company grows.

Qualifications

  • Some sea‑going experience as a Marine Engineer (preferred) or Deck Officer
  • Ideally sailed up to the rank of 3rd engineer or 3rd Officer on merchant ships
  • Hold EOOW or OOW licence or higher (Chief Mate or 2nd Engineer licence preferred)
