Imaging Department Assistant

This position assists and supports the Imaging department Technologists and by assisting in the Clinical Information System workflow for patients and getting them ready for their exams, transporting patients as needed, preparing CD's of imaging exams using the PACS, and providing a multitude of other clerical/office tasks.

Responsibilities

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (*Essential Functions)

• Cleans, maintains, and stocks the outpatient waiting rooms, dressing rooms, radiologist reading rooms, inpatient holding room, and designated procedure rooms.
• Works at the front desk in Imaging Services and greets all visitors, physicians and staff by using appropriate standards of behavior.
• Checks in patients and prepares them for their exams while appropriately identifying the patient per departmental policies and procedures.
