Team Lead for HVDC Control Engineering

A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Team Leader in HVDC Control and Protection Engineering, you will guide a team of specialists in designing and delivering comprehensive control and protection solutions for wind farm grid connections and interconnectors. You’ll oversee design validation, manage departmental work packages to meet time and budget targets, and foster a “right first time” culture through mentoring, training, and process optimization. Ensuring resource availability and driving continuous improvement across the engineering department are key aspects of the role.

You’ll work collaboratively with peer Team Leaders to grow the team into a globally integrated delivery function. Reporting to both the UK Head of Control and Protection and the Global Department Head in Germany, your responsibilities include team management (up to 15 engineers), strategic concept development for HVDC systems, and coordination of innovative solutions.
