Alder brook is a specialist setting that supports primary pupils with Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH). We are a growing school and currently have 94 pupil places over two sites.

Alder Brook is part of the Department for Education’s new “Experts at Hand” initiative, which allows specialists from settings like ours to support mainstream schools.

We are seeking to appoint three Level 3 Teaching Assistants to support this initiative.

The Role

In addition to the duties outlined in the job description, this role will involve:

  • Working across mainstream settings to support pupils, including those attending Alder Brook on short‑term placements
  • Supporting pupils during their placement and throughout some of their transition back into mainstream school
