- Good levels of Literacy and Numeracy NVQ level 2or equivalent
- For Grade 6 – Level 3 TA qualification orequivalent

- Experience of working with young people in the11 – 16 age range
- Have sufficient understanding to support pupils’learning, and be able to acquire further knowledge to contribute effectivelyand with confidence to the classes in which you are involved
- Knowledge of a range of strategies to promotegood behaviour
- Ability to work with and support othercolleagues
- Good oral and written communication skills Theability to develop effective relationships with pupils and colleagues
- A genuine enthusiasm for young people and anability to engage them in learning
- Excellent attendance and punctuality record
