What you’ll be doing as a Teaching Assistant

Your day-to-day as a Teaching Assistant


  • Helping pupils access learning and stay engaged
  • Providing one-to-one or small-group support when required
  • Encouraging positive behaviour with calm, consistent guidance
  • Preparing resources and supporting classroom organisation
  • Working closely with teachers and other support staff
