Teaching Assistant for 1:1 Support

We are offering an exciting opportunity for an adaptable, resourceful and inspirational SEND Teaching Assistant.

The nature of this role would ideally suit someone who has experience and is confident working on a 1:1 basis to support a child with complex SEND. Knowledge of ASC (Autism), communication and sensory needs are desirable. Experience of positive handling is also desirable.

This role requires excellent communication and teamwork skills as well as high expectations and standards of attainment, achievement and behaviour. The role will involve collaborating with teachers and the SENCO to deliver personalised programmes of teaching and learning activities based around pupil’s individual needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide care, reassurance and dignified support to special needs pupils in a mainstream setting.
