Teaching Assistant – Primary & Nursery School

Dean Bank Primary & Nursery School in Ferryhill, Durham, are seeking two enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistants for a temporary contract until 31 August 2027. The successful candidates will start on 1 September 2026.

Employment Details

• Job type: Temporary contract (term‑time only + two additional weeks).
• Working hours: Term‑time only.
• Pay: £25,185 – £25,989 pro rata.
• Pay calculation: 40 weeks (term‑time plus 2 additional weeks) + annual leave (27 days for less than 5 years of service, 32 days for 5 or more) + 8 days public holidays = 47 or 48 weeks’ pay, paid in 12 equal monthly instalments.
