Tamatea High School is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated kaiako with a dance focus to join our performing arts team in term 1, 2026 (or by negotiation). This is a permanent, part-time position (0.4 FTTE).

In this role you will teach dance across allocated year levels (typically Years 9–13), inspiring ākonga through engaging, inclusive programmes that grow confidence, creativity, and performance skills. You will contribute to positive outcomes for learners by using effective assessment and next-step planning, and by creating a safe studio culture that supports wellbeing and belonging.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience teaching dance (secondary preferred) and can teach performance, choreography, and dance analysis
