Teacher Assistant

Job Overview

Under general supervision of the classroom Teacher or Teacher w/ Waiver, the Teacher Assistant supports activities designed to stimulate learning, caregiver involvement, student progress, assessments, and transition into kindergarten.

Pay

Expected hourly pay rate: $20.00. Approved starting pay rate: $22.89 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality preschool services for children enrolled in the Early Care and Learning program.
• Interact with children and families (80%) to support learning and development.
• Maintain staff relationships (10%).
• Carry out administrative functions (10%).

Minimum Requirements

• Education: 12 semester units in Early Childhood Education, including 3 semester units of Infant & Toddler Development.
