Description
The Tax Preparer is responsible for preparing accurate and timely federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals and business entities while ensuring compliance with current tax laws and regulations. This role partners closely with Tax Managers, CPAs, and clients to gather financial information, prepare tax workpapers, and meet critical filing deadlines during the busy tax season. The ideal candidate is experienced with complex individual tax returns, proficient in ProSystem fx Tax, and able to manage a high-volume workload with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities
+ Prepare complex individual (Form 1040) tax returns, including returns with K-1 income, Schedule C businesses, Schedule E rental properties, investment activity, and other supporting schedules.
+ Prepare tax returns for partnerships, S corporations, corporations, trusts, and nonprofit organizations as needed.
