Tactical Buyer

Position Summary

The Tactical Buyer will represent the Thales Business Units with external suppliers and will be based within the Thales DIS facilities situated in Cuernavaca MX and be responsible for all Purchase Order creation, changes, and cancellation along with being the primary point of contact with the supplier communication.

The Tactical Buyer will be responsible for the day-to-day execution of the workload, including, but not limited to requesting quotations, negotiating pricing within the Delegation of Authority thresholds, ensuring accuracy of the orders, relevant notes and requirements for the Purchase Order, and any related documentation. He/She will also perform data analytics and quotes comparisons & summaries preparations. 

He/She is responsible for securing the best procurement solution (quality, price and timing), meeting the customer’s needs and aligned with the relevant Procurement Strategy lead by the Category Buyers & Managers...
