Key Responsibilities



  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with special educational needs.




  • Implement and support Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and EHCP targets.




  • Use Makaton confidently to support communication and language development.




  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to adapt learning materials and strategies.




  • Support pupils with ASD, ADHD, speech and language needs, and other complex needs.




  • Assist with behaviour management using positive and consistent approaches.




  • Support pupils’ personal, social and emotional development.




  • Liaise with parents, carers, and external professionals where appropriate.
