System Application Specialist

Overview

The System/Application Specialist, in partnership with other members of the Information Technology team is responsible for leading and coordinating activities in providing system maintenance, implementation and end user support for Cerner. This includesmanagement of interface between Cerner and other systems, analysis of the structure and processing of health information for decision making, and subsequent system build to support the automation of that processing. In addition, this position develops new views/reports of information for departments using data available in Cerner and other hospital databases, provide support to departments and end users and determine whether problems identified are procedural or program bugs to ensure a resolution.
