In this position, the Switchboard Operator provides processing of all inbound calls from the public at large and internal users, providing general information and caller connecting support through use of the telephone system
Scheduling Details
Part-time, 30 hours/week. Grave shift. 9 p.m. - 7 a.m. Tuesday - Thursday. No on call or weekend requirements
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**
**Switchboard Responsibilities**
+ Answers incoming switchboard calls in the order they're received.
+ Assists caller: answers questions, gives directions, transfers call or pages.
+ Answers the hospital emergency line, monitors Nurse Call and dispatches all emergencies.
+ Monitors and dispatches hospital facilities alarms.
+ Performs Resource Specialist duties (after-hours answering and contacting on-call providers,
+ after-hours triage, after-hours medical records requests, after-hours appointment schedulin...
