Job Overview

The Informatics Department has an opportunity for a Call Receptionist/Switchboard Operator in Day and Night and Day Shifts. The position is for Ysbyty Glan Clwyd. To work as part of a team providing a comprehensive, high quality switchboard service to Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board, 24 hours a day 7 days a week.

Out of hours, use a computer to find patients who have been admitted using the site specific system. Operate the internal paging system to contact staff for both internal and external calls.

The ability to speak Welsh is essential for this post.

• Bleep long range pagers, giving numeric and verbal information, awaiting response and putting caller through to department as requested, if no response, monitor situation and take appropriate action.
