Join the active team at Town of Ajax as a Swim Instructor and Lifeguard. This part-time position focuses on safety supervision and delivering engaging swimming lessons to diverse groups.
Reporting directly to the Aquatics Coordinators, you will monitor the pool environment, educate on aquatic safety, and prepare lesson plans for swim instruction. Your role also includes maintaining safety standards and responding swiftly to emergencies, all while fostering a welcoming environment for participants.
Key Responsibilities:
• Enforce pool rules and monitor for safety concerns
• Deliver swimming lessons per Lifesaving Society standards
• Prepare lesson outlines and progress cards weekly
• Respond to emergencies with professionalism
• Engage positively with program participants
Requirements:
• Must be at least 15 years old
• Valid Lifesaving Society certifications
• Current Standard First Aid with CPR C
• Knowledge of aquatic program delivery
