Job summary
The Postgraduate Medical Education Department are looking for applications for the post of Surgical Tutor at Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
The Surgical Tutor is an ambassador of the Royal College of Surgeons of England (RCS England), a School of Surgery (SoS) representative and advocate for the Intercollegiate Surgical Curriculum Programme (ISCP) and undertakes a key role for the Trust in supporting and demonstrating good governance of surgical training matters. The Surgical Tutor is responsible for providing leadership to surgical trainees in the Trust.
The Tutor is jointly appointed by the Specialty Director, the Training Programme Director or Head of Specialty School, the DME at the Trust, and the Regional Director for RCS England. The role will be discussed and formalised at job planning with the Specialty Director and designated appropriate SPA time. RCS Fellowship is mandatory and the appointment must be ratified at RCS Eng...
