Support Engineer Responsibilities
- Perform first-level troubleshooting of server and storage issues.
- Monitor infrastructure alerts and respond to incidents.
- Perform hardware health checks and diagnostics.
- Handle OS-level issues (Windows/Linux basic support).
- Log and manage tickets through service desk tools.
- Escalate complex issues to L2/OEM support.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance activities.
- Advanced troubleshooting of server and storage failures.
- RAID configuration and disk replacement activities.
- Firmware, patches, and upgrade implementation.
- Root Cause Analysis (RCA) preparation.
- Coordination with OEM vendors for part replacement.
- Support virtualization platforms (VMware / Hyper-V).
- Backup verification and restoration support.
- Performance tuning and capacity recommendations.
