Job Information

At the discretion of the Principal, the Support Assistant (SA) reports to the Principal, Program Support Teacher (PST) and/or Classroom Teachers at Chief Paul Niditchie School, Tsiigehtchic.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with implementing specialized and modified learning and education activities to provide a positive learning experience for students with diverse/complex needs or those who require additional support.
  • Work with diverse or complex needs/additional needs students individually or in small groups to provide academic assistance primarily in core areas such as reading and math.

Qualifications

  • Completion of Grade 12.
  • Related training in working with special needs students.
  • Experience in an educational environment.
