Supplier Quality Engineer

General Responsibilities

• Lead key supplier strategic activities and interface with Sourcing on forward looking roadmaps, including development of new suppliers and/or technologies, local activities, qualification, productivity pipeline cost reduction, components qualification, and supplier capacity verification.
• Initiate supplier-related problem solving to address performance issues as necessary.
• Drive containment activities.
• Communicate with relevant internal/external contacts and ensure timely closure and effectiveness.
• Notify suppliers quality issues, drive supplier report, verify and assure suppliers' effective containment action, root cause analysis, and corrective and preventive actions.
• Provide active support during reviews and supplier selection process.
• Review and critique supplier processes/products.
