What to Expect
The PCB Supplier Industrialization Engineer (SIE) is the subject matter expert on PCB manufacturing processes and fabrication rulesets and will also be primary point of contact for supplier audits, qualifications, and supplier selections for all PCBs in Tesla’s electronics portfolio.
What You’ll Do
Support with Design for Manufacturing (DFM) based on PCB supplier fabrication limitations and guide Design Engineers to optimize PCB layouts Define and maintain PCB specifications, criteria, and reliability standards to improve supplier performance for incumbent and new PCB suppliers Review and define APQP/PPAP requirements as the primary owner and approver of tier 2 PCB suppliers Conduct PCB supplier audits and support with the development of additional audit criteria to assess suppliers to meet Tesla’s high standard of quality Drive PCB suppliers on quality issues and field escalations based on root cause analysis and corre...
