Supplier Development Engineer

Summary

: The Supplier Development Engineer supports new product/process development and manufacturing through the application of quality and engineering techniques. This person will handle multiple projects and tasks throughout product development, product launch and manufacturing processes. The Supplier Development Engineer will represent the organization and interface with the supplier on a regular basis. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Identifies, assesses, and develops new suppliers for the organization.

Reviews Supplier Self Assessments from potential suppliers and collaborates with Purchasing.

Participates in the supplier sourcing process giving input on supplier production, quality, and technology capabilities.

Drives the Supplier Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) process.

Works closely with the Program Management and Purchasing teams.
