Job Description
Job Summary:
The Supplier Development Engineer (SDE) will influence business bottom line results by leading, monitoring, and supporting Suppliers. The responsibility includes all quality related aspects of Supplier Quality and working with suppliers to drive PPM (Parts per million) improvements and reduce end customer warranty failures. The SDE will drive Supplier Quality Standard work including on site audits of suppliers and developing suppliers to meet quality goals by utilizing standard work approaches and interacting with a variety of plant and corporate team members.
Responsibilities:
Perform in-depth quality system assessments across commodities to confirm supplier structure and effectiveness of the Suppliers quality management system
Coordinates with Plant quality, engineering, manufacturing engineering, procurement and supplier quality on component quality / delivery issues and supplier initiatives
