SUPERVISORY PHYSICAL SCIENTIST/OCEANOGRAPHER

Summary You will serve as a SUPERVISORY PHYSICAL SCIENTIST/OCEANOGRAPHER in the ACOUSTICS DEPARTMENT (NP5) of NAVOCEANO BAY ST LOUIS. Responsibilities You will plan, organize, supervise, and direct the work activities of employees. You will monitor progress of all projects, investigate delays, identify causes, and initiate or recommend corrective action to ensure deadlines are met. You will evaluate performance of subordinate employees. You will inform leadership of anticipated vacancies, increases in workload, or other circumstances that require replacement of additional staff. You will prepare the branch budget and ensure the most cost-effective expenditure of that budget. You will serve as the acting division or department director when required.
