SUPERVISORY ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN

Summary You will serve as a SUPERVISORY ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN in the COMBAT SYSTEMS DIVISION, ENGINEERING AND PLANNING DEPARTMENT of PORTSMOUTH NAVAL SHIPYARD. Responsibilities You will act as a Chief Test Engineer-Weapons (CTE-W) in the Combat Systems Division at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard. You will develop, direct, schedule and coordinate a test program on the submarines to ensure a thorough test program. You will maintain the day to day progress, conditions and status of testing and report this information to senior shipyard managers. You will assign work to personnel based upon personal ability and special knowledge. You will ensure preparations for and the conduct of the test program meet all technical and safety requirements. You will audit shipboard testing in progress and take action to ensure testing is performed in accordance with approved procedures.
