Supervisory Animal Health Technician

Summary You will serve as the Supervisory Animal Health Technician, responsible for day-to-day operation of a broad variety of imported wild and domestic livestock and birds. You will also provide administrative management support to this total activity. Responsibilities The duties described are for the full-performance level. At developmental grade levels, assignments will be of more limited scope, performed with less independence and limited complexity. The duties may include, but are not limited to: Carefully plan and execute supervising and handling of livestock shipments, as well as inspecting, cleaning and disinfecting any means of conveyance which transports animals during the quarantine process. Handles contact with visitors, callers such as veterinarians, importers, exporters, stakeholders and other APHIS personnel courteously, professionally and pleasantly.
