Under the general direction of the Manager of Distribution Design, the Supervisor, Distribution Design is responsible for overseeing the design, project management and building of Hydro Ottawa’s distribution systems in a timely, effective, and cost‑effective manner while meeting budgetary requirements.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for providing timely, efficient and effective design, costing, and project management for new and modified distribution systems and customer services.
• Support the development, implementation, and management of technical standards, system materials, and procedures.
• Provide technical studies, analysis and status reports, and recommendations on the complete distribution system.
• Chair or participate in internal and external committees as required.
• Provide training, coaching and mentoring to design staff; advise on staffing matters.
