Job Description


The College of Science and Mathematics (BCOSM)’s Think Tank is located in Room 151 of the Dana Mohler-Faria Center for Science and Mathematics (DMF). Some of the tools offered in the laboratory include 3D scanners, soldering stations, laser cutters, saws, vacuum chambers, a computer numerical controlled machine and a drill press.

The Think Tank Lab Leader will assist in overseeing the BSU Think Tank as well as Think Tank Lab Techs.

Think Tank Lab Techs will complete an intensive learning period on how to use and operate Maker Space technologies including 3D printers, microcontrollers, robots, small electronics, and prototyping machines. After extensive training, the duties of Lab Techs will include:
  • mentoring and tutoring other students

  • staffing and organizing a Maker Space site

  • co-leading workshops and tutorials

  • constructing demonstrations
