Substance Use Support Worker

Fixed‑term / Secondment Opportunity

12‑month position as a Band 4 Substance Use Worker with the Substance Use Service (CADS). This opportunity is available to existing permanent employees who first discuss the secondment with their substantive line manager and submit a completed secondment request form. The request must be signed by the line manager and brought to the interview as confirmation of the secondment arrangement.

Responsibilities

• Provide assessment and interventions to adults aged 16 and over with moderate to severe complex substance use issues and mental health problems.
• Work autonomously within the locality while collaborating as part of an established multidisciplinary team.
• Develop working relationships with a wide range of professionals to improve service delivery.
• Travel within the area of service delivery to support community‑based services.
