Student Trainee (Recreation Aid/Lifeguard)

The primary purpose of this position is to provide a Student Trainee, who has been appointed to the Pathways Summer Program, with on-the-job training and guidance. Cleans and maintains the swimming facility. Rescues and resuscitates individuals in danger of drowning and renders first aid to injuries. Performs gate control duties. Conducts swimming lessons following prescribed lesson plan. Leads three or more lifeguards in the performance of lifeguard and related swimming facility duties.
