The Settlement Reconciliation team safeguards the accuracy of First West’s financial records by completing daily general ledger reconciliations and ensuring compliance with internal financial control standards. Team members investigate and resolve settlement discrepancies by partnering closely with branches and internal business units, maintaining clear documentation, and supporting timely audit requirements. They play a critical role in reducing operational risk by monitoring outstanding items, executing time‑sensitive accounting tasks, and ensuring banking settlement processes run smoothly across the organization. As a student, you will provide administrative and project support to the department while contributing to team objectives, assisting with documentation and reconciliation tasks, supporting investigations of variances, and collaborating with team members to maintain accurate financial reporting.
