Current employees of Kent and Medway NHS Trusts, Kent and Medway Integrated Care Board, Medway Community Healthcare, and nursing students or newly qualified nurses are invited to apply.

We offer a 12‑month Specialist Community Public Health Nursing (SCPHN – School Nursing) training programme starting January 2027. Successful candidates will be employed as members of the School Nursing Team, working across community settings including schools and family hubs in East Sussex (excluding Brighton & Hove). The main base is Polegate, with an additional base in Hastings.

Main duties

• Complete comprehensive health needs assessments and initiate onward referrals.
• Manage a caseload of children and young people, prioritising need and providing person‑centred care.
• Deliver tailored care packages (e.g., healthy weight, toileting, behaviour/parenting, emotional heal...
