Position Overview
The Structural Steel Modeler – SR is responsible for developing accurate and detailed 3D models of structural steel projects using SDS2. This role supports the Detailing & Engineering Operations department by ensuring that all modeled elements and assemblies meet project specifications, fabrication standards, and client requirements. The Modeler collaborates with Detailers, Checkers, Project Managers, and Engineers to coordinate modeling tasks, resolve technical issues, and maintain project schedules. The position requires a comprehensive understanding of structural steel systems, connection detailing, and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
3D Modeling and Detailing
Develop precise 3D models of structural steel components, connections, and assemblies in SDS2 in accordance with design drawings and specifications.
Generate fabrication-ready information to support shop drawing and erection drawing production.
