Job Description
Canfor is hiring an Industrial Energy Manager to enhance Strategic Energy Management for its Canadian Solid Wood Operations. This role focuses on elevating energy efficiency and sustainability measures.
As a critical function within Canfor, this position works closely with BC Hydro to implement the Strategic Energy Management Plan. Candidates will be instrumental in identifying energy conservation initiatives, driving CAPEX projects, and collaborating with various divisions to support sustainability and efficiency goals.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct energy audits and track facility performance
• Implement and manage energy cost-saving projects
• Report energy usage and KPI metrics monthly
• Collaborate with BC Hydro and FortisBC industry groups
• Support annual planning and GHG disclosures
Requirements:
• Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng), Certified Energy Manager, or equivalent
