The Opportunity
A leading engineering and manufacturing business is seeking a Strategic Project Buyer to support new product introduction and drive effective sourcing strategies from concept through to production. This role sits at the intersection of engineering, procurement, and operations, ensuring cost‑effective and reliable supply solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead procurement activities across NPI and industrialisation projects
- Integrate sourcing strategies with engineering and production requirements
- Manage RFQs, supplier selection, and commercial negotiations
- Ensure availability of materials and components to meet project timelines
- Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Operations on DFM/DFA and technical alignment
- Support supplier audits, qualification, and performance reviews
