Responsibilities

Under general supervision, receives, sorts, stores, redistributes, and accounts for food, supplies and equipment within the Food Services Department.

Qualifications

  • Previous training and experience in food handling, stores control and storage procedures. Organizational ability.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards, effective sanitation and housekeeping practices, and the operation of standard kitchen appliances and equipment.
  • Ability to learn routines related to food service shipping and receiving, working accurately with figures, keep routine records, and follow written and oral instructions.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, standing and walking for long periods of time, repetitive lifting, carrying heavy objects.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with others.
  • Valid B.C. driver's licence.
