Overview

At STERIS Instrument Processing, we provide surgical instrument sterilisation and maintenance solutions. We are recruiting for a Sterile Services Technician on an entry‑level programme that offers world‑class training and a defined career pathway.

Training & Working Pattern

12‑week training (hours confirmed at interview). After training, a regular shift pattern of Monday‑Friday 3 pm‑11 pm with one weekend out of four.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a highly regulated end‑to‑end sterilisation/decontamination process on surgical instruments used in NHS and private hospitals.
  • Prepare sterile consumables by decontamination, inspection, assembly and packing within predefined quality standards.
  • Rigorously check, wash, lay up and pack sets of theatre instruments to meet contract specifications.
  • Safely operate and monitor machines and equipment (washers/disinfectors, ultrasonic cleaners, sterilisers).
