About The Role
The Sterile Services Technician role is a highly detailed role focussed on ensuring the effective sterilisation, preparation and maintenance of instruments and equipment used during surgical procedures.
This is a permanent role offered at 1.0 FTE or 40 hours per week role to be worked on a rotating roster Monday-Saturday.
Although prior experience and education in sterile services is preferrable it is not essential, and all training including pursuing a certificate in sterilising technology is available on-the-job.
Specific duties include:
- Following applicable processes and policies to ensure medical instruments and equipment are cleaned and sterilised to eliminate the risk of infections and/or contamination
- With a high attention to detail, ensure instruments and equipment are correctly repackaged, and assigned to appropriate kits
