Job SummaryThe Sterile Processing Technician organizes, directs, and performs activities related to cleaning, sterilizing, storing, maintenance and distribution of equipment and instruments in the Sterile Processing Department
Monday-Friday - 5:00pm - 10:00pm
Job Specific Responsibilities
Daily assignments may include but are not limited to:
• Process and package instruments and instrument sets to be used in surgical procedures
• Properly package and load items on the carriage for sterilization
• Store, issue, and track equipment; this includes delivery and pick up from various departments
• Operate, monitor, and exchange the Detergent Management System
• Operate all SPD equipment in a safe and efficient manner
• Troubleshoot and resolve problems with sterilizers
