Job Description:
An experienced Android Set Top Box (STB) System Software Lead to drive architecture, development, integration, and optimization of Android-based system software for TV/OTT devices. The ideal candidate has expertise in Android internals, embedded systems, system bring-up, performance tuning, and leading cross functional engineering teams.
System Software Development
Drive customization and enhancement of Android platform components (AOSP).
Develop and optimize STB-specific modules such as:
Android HAL (Graphics, Audio, Tuner, DRM, Connectivity)
Middleware for playback, CAS/DRM, DVB/ATSC/ISDB layers
System services for remote control, UI/UX, and performance
Experience in Android Rebasing components for security patches upgrading
Experience in the Android certifications including GCT, Netflix, Amazon.
Good understanding on STBs, OTT Platform.
