Stationary Engineer (TFH)
Location: Sault Ste. Marie, ON, CA, P6A5K6
PURPOSE
Responsible for the Heat Plant operation and operating maintenance reporting to the Chief Operating Engineer.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operate, monitor, and maintain boilers, thermal oil systems, fuel systems, dryers, and related equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant plant operations.
- Manage fuel supply and combustion processes (natural gas, hog fuel, biomass) to optimize performance, cost, and emissions within regulatory limits.
- Monitor and control process parameters including temperature, moisture, pressure, and plant chemistry (boiler, cooling towers, glycol) to ensure consistent product quality.
- Perform routine inspections, troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and coordinate repairs, including contractor oversight during outages and down days.
