IHC Services – Operations strives during both guarantee period and during the further lifetime of a vessel to prevent problems with vessels of clients in order to maximize uptime of a vessel. If problems do occur IHC Services - Operations tries to solve these problems as quickly as possible to minimize down time of a vessel. To do this IHC Services - Operations uses different types of data. This means that a lot of information has to be registered. This is done by field service engineers who are onboard of the vessel of the client, which can be on various locations around the world, but also by Superintendents in the office processing service requests from clients. At Kinderdijk, the Netherlands the Superintendents use this information to make decisions to solve the problem together with the field service engineer.
